About Our Company

Madrona Distillery is owned by Tom and Anne Allan of Kirkland and Orcas Island, Washington.  The name is inspired by the beautiful madrona trees found growing wild along the shores of Puget Sound, and particularly in the San Juan and Gulf Island archipelagos.

As head distiller, Tom leverages more than fifteen years of beverage industry experience and formal training from Scotland’s Heriot Watt University and the University of California – Davis.

Madrona’s Garden Club Gin is a tribute to all the gin drinkers out there who are happiest with our hands in the soil and some good tonic in the ice box. Notes of rose, lavender and hibiscus emerge in our juniper-forward traditional London Dry gin. Enjoy Garden Club Gin as a Martini with some lemon peel or a sprig of lavender garnish, or in any of your favorite cocktails! 40% ABV, Distilled from Wheat
Our flagship London Dry style gin, formulated in collaboration with gin botanical consultants from The Distiller's Nose in the United Kingdom. A bright version of the traditional, with distinct juniper, citrus, and spice. Well-served up, with tonic, or in virtually any cocktail that calls for vodka or gin.
Our unfiltered vodka is the base spirit for our Dry Gin, but with nothing added but clean water from the foothills of the Cascade mountains.
Madrona Barrel Reserve Gin is rested on oak for a minimum 5 months before bottling. This process adds lush vanilla and oak flavors to the underlying botanical character. Try this in a Bees Knees cocktail for a delicious marriage of juniper, honey & Vanilla!
Prayer Bottle Rum is inspired by the yacht racing crew of USA51 'Elusive', a C&C 115 that dominated Puget Sound for two decades before retirement in 2023. We blended several lots of rum from across the Caribbean and rested the blend on oak for 6 months for rich flavor and color. Delicious on the rocks or in a scratch daiquiri.
